The Backstory
Named after our home region of The Shoals here in Alabama, the Shoals Denim Shirt first appeared on the runway in the fall of 2001 as a versatile piece that could bridge the gap between workwear and tailored styles. It’s remained a staple of the collection ever since because, while many things have changed, its function has not.
The Design
With enough room for a tee or Henley underneath, the Shoals Denim Shirt was designed to fit like a shirt jacket while also being tailored enough to stand on its own. The shape of the pockets elongate the body, while the antique brass snaps feel substantial without being overwhelming. Perhaps best of all, we wash each of our Shoals Denim Shirt styles for that perfect, had-it-a-decade feel, whether you prefer your denim washed out, blacked out, or double dyed, (alternatively, we also offer it in 100% organic cotton twill). Plus, as a final touch, we add our signature ribbon stripe stitching to the left breast pocket.
