THE FOUNDATION SERIES
For this part of the series we’re focusing on multifaceted suiting. We went to Billy himself to discover the one piece he believes should be in every man’s closet. Luckily, he’s got a clear answer: “A navy blazer is the most versatile piece that a man can have in his wardrobe.” We asked Billy about the importance of the garment and his personal history with it.
HIS DAY 1 LOOK
“I remember my early days working at the Royal Oak in Hammond, Louisiana. The owner, Joe Buddy Anderson, told me to have a navy blazer and if that’s the one blazer I’ve got, then wear it every day. He taught me to take this one blazer and do so many things with it.”
CAN GO ANYWHERE
"I’ve always loved this navy blazer. I’ve worn it with ripped up jeans and a t-shirt to literally the CFDA awards, so you can milk it for sure. We made ours to have a matching pant, so you can put the look together with a tie and button up for a beautiful look. Great with black shoes in that case, or brown shoes—really whatever you choose.”
FITS ALL STYLES
“I think pairing it with a denim shirt is a cool look. I like the denim shirt with a suit and tie. Or you can wear a henley under it with a darker pant, a wider pant. Really a ton of options with it.”
WORKS FOR ALL SEASONS
“Whether you put this with a linen pant and a white shirt or a chino pant with a polo, you can really take this into fall and spring.”
