“I wanted a version of classic pieces with our details in it to set it apart. So whether it’s the washed leather or the little pockets on our Blake Jacket. All of those things make the layer, yet have a point of difference. We just kept doing it and people kept responding well to it, thank god.”
PURPOSEFUL ELEMENTS
“The first time I made this shirt was actually in 2001 for a runway show, and it’s evolved into this piece we’ve had since 2008. We added our heirloom stripe under the waist vent which reinforces it. So it has branding and a function to it.”
SUBTLETIES WITH IMPACT
“Whether it’s the bar tacking, or the rivet stitching here, or it’s the custom-made twill tape that matches the fabric under the collar. These are all details that you may not even see or notice, but it’s the little things that make a difference.”
