Recently bought the Bond peacoat on sale.

It fits well, its styled well, and it's a nice piece that will serve me for a long time. I would've liked the lapel to be a little more of a pronounced peak lapel vs a more notch lapel. Certainly not a dealbreaker, and if you like wearing the lapel up to block the elements, the smaller lapel does work better than a big peak lapel.

The coat is not lined, which, on its own, isn't a dealbreaker. Just don't bank on this coat keeping you super warm in the dead of winter, even with a couple layers underneath.

Even on cloudy days with temps in the low 30s or 20s fahrenheit... you'll likely feel a little "chill" through the coat If the sun is hitting it, that'll help warm up the fibers. Ideally its a coat for temps around 40-55 degrees fahrenheit.

In terms of sizing, I'm 5'9" and 175.. average build. I don't have a Daniel Craig-physique, so I went with the medium over a small. I'm right in that in-between zone between sizes. If I wanted a more narrow fit with less room for winter weight sweaters underneath, etc., I would've gone for the small and it likely would fit great. I'm happy with my choice, and it's all about how you want to wear the coat.

Is the coat worth full price? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If you're like me, and there's a significant sale that inspires you to buy... then go for it!

The Billy Reid Bond Peacoat is undeniably a well-made piece. The construction feels solid, the tailoring is sharp, and being made in Italy definitely shows in the overall craftsmanship. Unfortunately, the comfort falls short. The wool material is quite itchy, and the lack of a lining (not even in the sleeve) makes it more noticeable even in a short time I tried it on. For a coat at this price point, that was disappointing.

That said, I do want to highlight the customer support experience. Even though the item was marked as final sale, customer service was responsive, understanding, and made an exception by offering a store credit, which I appreciated. While the coat itself wasn’t a great fit for me comfort-wise, the brand’s customer service left a positive impression.
