I love this jacket. I was lucky enough to score it on sale but knowing what I know now, I'd gladly have paid full price. It's warm enough that I've worn it with just a waffle henley underneath it in frigid NYC temps (about 30 degrees) and it's kept my torso plenty warm. It has a "Goldilocks" fit -- roomy enough to layer a sweater under it, but trim enough so that it doesn't have that balloon-like appearance lots of quilted jackets like this have. As an added bonus, it, like the other Billy Reid jackets I own, is really flattering in the shoulder area. I am really happy with this.

This should just be called a jacket imho - definitely too thick and heavy to be considered a shirt in any way. It is a decent jacket, though, but only at the sale price for me. I returned due to sizing. I’m 6’2” and a little over 200lbs and ordered a medium (I’m usually a L in most shirts but often get an ideal fit with M in shirt jackets since they tend to be oversized). The fit on this was weird - perfect in the chest but a bit too short in the torso, but the real problem was the sleeves, which were huge. Length was fine but they were way too baggy. I’m sure this is to accommodate layering, but these are still way too big. So I knew sizing up wouldn’t make sense. I own the pique chore coat in M and it is perfect, and ironically is more of a shirt jacket even though that’s not what it’s called. So I was hoping this one would fit similarly. Not the case.
