Finished with thoughtful Billy Reid touches like dark horn buttons; an abundance of pockets; corduroy lining at the hood, pockets and cuffs; and an antique brass zipper with a waxed cord puller. I absolutely love this coat! I bought it on a whim at the Billy Reid San Francisco store as it was on sale for half the price and I was leaving the next day for a week long trip to Ireland and thought it would be nice to bring along. It did not disappoint! I spent most of my time along the Wild Atlantic Way in Dingle and Galway and it kept me warm and dry and protected me from the howling wind and rain I experienced. Also, I got so many complements from locals and tourists alike about my coat. It's roomy enough that you can layer a vest or light blazer underneath. At times I used a puffer vest underneath and it fit fine. Roomy but not baggy. Cut just right I think (I'm 5'8" and 190 lbs with an athletic build) and the hood is works great! Highly recommended, especially if you're traveling in Europe during the Winter!

Love the style and quality.
I do recomend that you get wax again to make it water repellent.

First of all, this coat is made from an amazing material. It's not your typical waxed canvas, which feels cold and slick. This material has a texture that makes it a little like wool and gives it a very comfortable, soft feel.
Next, looking at the sizing table, you may think to size down. Don't. Ignore the table.
I wear a size 52 in Belstaff, which is L, and a size 42 in sport coats or blazers.
My right size in this coat is L.
Even while the chest size in the measuring table would suggest M.
If you try to size down, it will not fit in shoulders.
This coat is a statement piece that gets a lot of compliments and is very comfortable at the same time.

This coat is very well crafted, with a number of unique details. It's a fair price for a terrific garment that will last for decades. Whether dealing with a thunderstorm or blizzard, this coat will keep you dry and warm. My only issue in ordering was the lack of a useful sizing chart based on height and weight. I originally ordered an XL but had to exchange it for an XXL (which is consistent with sizing for me in other Billy Reid garments) and that fits well, with sleeves cuffed. I found this to be a much better option than my previous Barbour.
