Our first version of the Bond Peacoat dates back two decades. Originally named after our Bond Street store in New York, Daniel Craig famously wore it in the James Bond movie Skyfall. It has become a timeless, iconic style and customer favorite. For warmer climates, we created a version that swaps the iconic sturdy melton wool for an artfully crafted Italian cotton canvas that provides a beautiful texture and soft hand. Finished with our signature heirloom ribbon tab at the back of the collar and genuine horn buttons - this is an extraordinary piece and an unexpected interpretation ideal for spring weather.

Let me address the 4 Star: About three weeks ago I found this incredible piece, (Billy Reid's (BR) Sand Canvas Bond Peacoat) online, however there's was only a small and an extra large available. Lucky for me, a BR's representative, Olivia, went over and beyond to help me find the item in a medium, sadly, upon receiving the coat it was too small when it arrived; I'm 6,1 with a 18.5/19 shoulder length and a 34.5 arm length. This piece runs fitted/slim and is what I would consider true to form, a true Medium. To that end, if you're built like a swimmer (triangle), it's best you get a Large and if you're concerned w/ the rest of the coat, have it tailored to fit (that's what I plan to do, provided they bring the piece back). Unfortunate for me, my size (L) is out of stock.
The perfect coat explained: Never in my life have I purchased a more satifying piece. This coat looked absolutely incredible when I took it out of the box. I knew it would look great but I never imagined it would excite me! Notwithstanding, the look had nothing on the feel, the touch was like the feel of artisitry; it was as if the coat was meant to be painted upon not warn. Yes, the texture was incredible, the coat was indeed a masterpiece, but what was extremly impressive was that the construction was excellent, it was obviously made with precision and attention to detail. I wanted the sand color so bad, and it was not available in Large, so I took a chance and ordered the XL to see if it would fit correctly, and it didn't. I had to return it; it was too big on me, I'm 5'10", 210lbs with broad shoulders, and it fit big, boxy even. Perhaps with thick layering but this is not a winter coat, so that would defeat the purpose of the design. Besides, the sleeves were also long, so I instead ordered the navy blue in Large since it was available, and I am glad I did. It fits perfect! I mean, perfect for my build and for early spring and or fall, it is an excellent piece for my wardrobe. Hopefully, they will make them again next season, and I will be waiting for the sand color to come out and, this time, not miss it! The quality is excellent, I love the deconstructed look and feel, and the stitching and material feel luxurious. Worth the money I paid.

The finish, fabric and cut are very good. The only critique I can offer is the shoulders where you want to fit perfectly tend to pull a little too tight causing wrinkles. I am a perfect 40 regular, 5’9 160 lbs which is your medium. Otherwise the rest of the jacket fits and lays perfectly. All in all I dig the jacket and your lifestyle. James Damian, Minneapolis
